PHOENIX EXECUTIVE was established in 2001 and has grown from 3 to an experienced and highly motivated team of 18.

Our team comprises 13 nationalities: Dutch, Belgian, German, Portuguese, Polish, Finnish, Romanian, Estonian, Bulgarian, Columbian, Tunisian, Congolese and South African.

Together we speak the following languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Polish, Estonian, Slovenian, Turkish, Arabic, Swahili, Lingala and Italian.

We have built a strong reputation for our consistent and high quality research methodology, cultural awareness and professionalism. Each new team member is trained by us and contributes special skills to the organization.


Vera Klaus	Saskia Markey	Christine Heeger	Nicky Viljoen

Vera Klaus (Managing Partner & Founder), a Dutch national, Degree in Languages. She has lived and worked in 7 different countries over the last 20 years, gaining experience in well known FMCG's, smaller international service companies and the Executive Search Industry. Vera has been active in the latter since early 1999, both as a Researcher and as a Consultant. Vera speaks fluent English, Dutch, French, Spanish and German.

Saskia Markey (Senior Partner & Founder), a Belgian national, Degree in Languages. She has broad experience in the automotive, FMCG and hospitality industries across Europe. Saskia has a solid background of more than 10 years in Executive Search as both Researcher and Consultant and is a specialist in Identification research. Saskia speaks fluent English, Dutch and French as well as good Spanish and some German.

Christine Heeger (Partner), a German national, has a Masters Degree in Economics and is a qualified Translator. She has lived and worked in Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Luxembourg and the UK, before moving to Belgium. Christine has a strong background in the banking industry having worked as Investment Advisor to private clients for several years. Christine speaks fluent German, French and English as well as strong Russian and Spanish.

Nicky Viljoen (Partner & Founder), a South African, has an Honours Degree in Commerce and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She has a strong background in industry, having worked for several multi-nationals in FMCG and Banking as a Financial Analyst and Accountant. Nicky made the transition to Executive Search in 1999. Nicky speaks fluent English and strong French.
